TOPIC: EAST VIEW FOOTBALL

Football tickets to this week’s game against Vandergrift HS will be sold at the diamond. The game is at the GISD Athletic Complex, and starts at 7:30PM. Students pay $3, and tickets for adults are $7. All tickets at the gate will be $8.

Also - Tickets for all home games for EVHSVarsity Football can be purchased and printed at home by going to

www.georgetownisdtickets.com Tickets are available online up until 5:00 PM on game day. There is a $1.50 transaction fee per ticket, but it will keep you from having to wait in line to purchase your ticket at the game.

TOPIC: HOMECOMING

Homecoming: This week is Homecoming! Tomorrow, Tuesday, is "Make 'em See Double!"--twin day!

Wall Decorating:Attention all grade levels! Our annual wall decorating competition is today!Students wishing to participate should meet in 207 after school today.Find your creative friends, or just come and make some new friends! Represent your class and show Patriot Pride for Homecoming!

Student Council: All Council meeting after school in 207. Plan to stay for Wall Decorating after the meeting!

Wednesday is Homecoming Court Elections--Plan to take a couple of minutes of your time during lunch to go to 501 and vote for our 2015 EV Homecoming Court representatives!

Homecoming Dance--Do you like to dance? Do you like to listen to music? Do you like to have fun? Well if any of those describe you, the Homecoming Dance is the place for you! Tickets are being sold for $10 during all lunches this week. Procrastinators will pay $15 at the door Saturday night. The dance is this Saturday, September 19th from 7-11 pm. Dress is semi-formal and all grades are welcome and invited to attend. Good times will be had! Get your ticket today!

TOPIC: CLASS RINGS

Attention Juniors and Seniors- Class Ring Orders will be taken during Parent’s Night on Thursday, September 17th after school from 3:45-6 PM across from the cafeteria and again during all lunches on Friday, September 18th from 12-2 PM by the Cafeteria. Any Junior or Senior who did not get an information packet and price sheet may pick one up at the diamond. A down payment is required at the time of the order.

TOPIC: NJROTC

All parents and guardians of NJROTC Liberty Battalion cadets are welcome to participate with the GISD NJROTC Boosters (aka Liberty Boosters). Liberty Boosters regularly meet at 19:00 (7 pm) on the second Monday of each month in the NJROTC classrooms at East View High School. TOPIC: SENIOR CLASS STUDENT/PARENT INFORMATIONAL MEETING

The Counseling Team at EVHS invites you to a Senior Class Student and Parent Informational Meeting the evening of Monday, September 21st, from 6p-7:30p. Counselors will share information pertaining to college entrance, transcripts, scholarships and senior year deadlines as well as will have a question and answer forum. A presentation in English will be held in the Library and a presentation in Spanish will be held in the Lecture Hall. Families are encouraged to park in Lot A and enter through the EVHS Front Entrance. We look forward to seeing you there!

TOPIC: PATRIOTS BASEBALL BOOSTERS
We are gearing up for another exciting season of East View Patriot Baseball. Please visit our website at www.patriots-baseball.com and join our mailing list. Simply add your email address and click the submit button to receive information about the program. This will be our main source of communication with our parents and families so be sure to sign up so you don't miss anything important. Also, on Wednesday, October 7th at 6:00pm, we will be holding our 1st Baseball Booster Club Meeting of the year. The meeting takes place in the lecture hall at EVHS. We will be sharing information on our plans for the 2016 season and would love for you to join us. We look forward to seeing see next month. Go Pats Go!

TOPIC: KEY CLUB

Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over! East View High School now has a Key Club. Key Club is a student-run service learning and leadership group. It is a great way to get all of your service learning hours in and get to learn more about becoming a strong and caring leader at EVHS and in the world outside of school! Come to the first informational meeting on Tuesday September 22, 2015 at 8:15 a.m. in room 206. Snacks will be provided.

TOPIC: LITERARY MAGAZINE

East View’s literary magazine name has been chosen! Thank you to all the students and staff who submitted a ballot last week. The first runner up was The Pulse, with 150 votes, and the winner, with 256 votes, is Ink! Your ink, your story.

TOPIC: WENDY’S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN AWARD

Senior athletes and volunteers, please apply for the Wendy’s High School Heisman award! You will have a chance to be honored at the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York City.
