TICKETS ON SALE NOW: MURDER PLAYS A SOUR NOTE
Tickets are now on sale for "Murder Plays a Sour Note". The mystery dessert theatre will be presented at the Marine Bank on Saturday, February 7. Seating at 6:30 p.m., performance at 7:00 p.m.Tickets and admission will not be taken the night of the performance, please get your tickets in advance. There will be a seating limit of 100, so there will only be 100 tickets available.
Carnations Sales for March of Dimes:
Key club will be taking orders for Carnations for Valentine’s Day all next week during both lunches. The money raised will be donated to the March of Dimes. Carnations will be delivered on Feb. 13th.
STUDENT COUNCIL FOOD DRIVE DANCE
The Student Council is sponsoring a Food Drive Dance at the high school on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 8:30-11:00 p.m. If you are planning on bringing a date that does not attend IWHS please pick up forms from the office this week. All completed forms need to be returned to either Mrs. Flesner or Mrs. Latherow no later than 2-4-09.

Yearbook needs your pictures and questions NOW!!!!
We need them by February 6th; if we do not have them by the 6th then you will be listed as “not pictured”. You can pick up your question forms in the office and return them either to the office or Mrs. Holtsclaw.
ART CLUB DEPARTMENT
Art Club is taking orders for T-shirts. They are $11.00. Payment is due at the time of ordering.Orders must be turned in to either Mrs. Stevenson or Mrs. Nagel by February 7. Some people still owe dues of $2.00. Art club will be meeting to make valentines after school on Monday, February 2 and on Friday, February 6.
ATTENTION SENIORS
If you would like a senior t-shirt you may start ordering Monday, February 9th. We will be selling all week. Short sleeve t-shirts $15, long sleeve $18, hoodies $25.
JUNIORS & SENIORS
Sign up for Prom February 9th-12th in Mrs. Black’s room #302. You can sign up either before school 7:30 a.m. – 8:10 a.m., during 6th hour lunch or after school from 3:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. During 5th hour lunch in the LOBBY.
Prom is March 28 at the WIU Union in Macomb. We will be signing up for Prom and ordering favors February 9-12th. Junior cost for prom is $30.00. Seniors-you get in free to Prom, but we need to sign up so we know if you are coming to the meal. If you bring a date other than an IWHS senior, you will have to pay $30 for your date.
Cost of favors is: Picture frame $8, mugs $7, glass $7, key chain $5.
NO REFUNDS on the fee to get into prom or on the favors.
FBLA DODGE BALL
It is that time again for DODGE BALL!! The Illini West High School FBLA chapter will be holding a Dodge Ball Tournament Fundraiser on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 9:00 am in the high school gym. Registration will be accepted until March 1, 2009. Forms are available outside the high school office. Additionally forms can be received by contacting Mrs. Twaddle at the high school. Please plan on attending to either play or watching the tournament. It is quite a spectacular time!
YOUTH TO WASHINGTON
Western Illinois Electric Cooperative (WIEC) will once again sponsor a student in the “Youth to Washington”. Last year, the winner was Jessica Siverly of Illini West HS and WIEC reports she served as a great ambassador for WIEC and Western Illinois. Applicants must be a son or daughter of an active WIEC member and currently a sophomore, junior, or senior. The Youth to Washington trip is June 12-19.
Applications are available from Mrs. Logan, Mr. Dion, Mr. Hoener, or Mr. Raftis.
FBLA
FBLA students can sign up for the John Wood Community College High School Business Contest for Friday, Feb. 27, 2009 with Mrs. Twaddle. You must sign up by Feb. 6th. There is a $2 registration fee and you will need money for lunch.
FBLA students who plan on attending the State Conference need to pay their $50 deposit by Feb. 20th or you will not be registered to go. The balance will be due on March 15th. Please pay your fees to Mrs. Twaddle.

If you would like your seniors to be included in the slide show presentation at graduation, please bring a baby picture and a senior picture to Mrs. Twaddle.
