IWHS CHEERLEADING CLINIC & TRYOUTS
The 2009-2010 Charger Cheerleading Tryouts will be held at IlliniWestHigh School on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 4:30 pm. A clinic for tryouts will be held on TuesdayMay 12 and Thursday, May 14 at 4:30-6 p.m. at IlliniWestHigh School.

FBLA STUDENTS
Please pick up a Nauvoo field trip permission form outside the office or on the FBLA board and turn it in by April 24. If you do not get your permission form turned in by April 24, you will not be allowed to go because arrangements need to be made ahead of time. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Any Freshmen – Juniors interested in trying-out for the IW Dance Team plan to attend practices May 4th – 6th from 4:30 – 6pm in the Middle School Gym. Try-outs will be on May 7th at 4:30 pm. Please Sign-up with Mrs. Brooks or in the office!

Do you dance? Do you sing? Or maybe you have those hidden talents yet to be discovered! Get your acts together for the 1st Annual IWHS Variety Show. There are forms in the office or you may get one from Mrs. Hartweg. All forms need to be turned back in by Monday, May 4. The Variety Show is Saturday, May 9th.

Key Club members – Sign up on my Bulletin Board to help clean up our Parking lot and ditches – they are quite the site! Do we really want to leave this kind of impression on our community? It takes everyone working together – please use the Trash cans for your trash. Respect our earth now – so it will be here for your kids some day!

LIL’ ABNER DRESS REHEARSAL
On Thursday, April 23, there will be a dress rehearsal for the spring musical, at 1:00 pm.This is necessary due to a Track meet, a baseball game and a softball game right after school on Thursday.
Mrs. Hartweg will provide a list of students this will affect before Thursday.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Any girl planning to play basketball next year please meet with Coach Keene @ 8:00 a.m. in the gym on Thursday Morning April 23. If for some reason you are unable to make this meeting please see Coach Keene ASAP.
April is National Donate Life Month
Making it a great time to continue donating blood, or making your very first blood donation. The Illini West Student Council Blood Drive will be Wednesday, April 29, 2009 in the IW gym. Sign-ups to give blood will be during the lunch hours this week and early next week, April 14 to April 21. Eligible donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 years old with a signed Red Cross parental/guardian consent form. You must weigh at least 110 pounds and be in general good health. You may sign up during your study hall or PE class. Thank you for playing a critical role in modern healthcare. If you have any questions contact Kyle Hartzell, Mrs. Latherow or Mrs. Flesner.
