To whom it may concern:

In all my years of airline travel I have never had a more unprofessional, inadequate and frustrating experience than what I had to endure with the agents of USAIR. If my problem is not resolved I will end my relationship with USAIR. I have other choices.

I made phone reservations tonight rather than using the website because I had a cancelled ticket and I wanted to use the value of the ticket toward my new reservations. The confirmation number for the cancelled ticket is UNIJNX. The ticket was worth $511.70. Using your phone agent, I made a reservation to travel from Albany, NY to Grand Cayman (confirmation C6WK9T) and I told the agent to put the value of the prior ticket, $511.70, toward the price of the new ticket which was $949.45. She told me that she did indeed put the value of the cancelled ticket toward the new ticket and the total I would be charged was $949.45 less the $511.70 plus $100 (some sort of additional charge that annoyed me because you don’t stipulate that on the cancellation) for a final charge of $537.75. I made my seat selections with her (12f, 6a, 21f, 10a), and she reiterated again that the transaction was completed.

After I hung up with her, I received an email saying my reservation was complete, using the same confirmation # that she had given me (C6WK9T). And my credit card was charged $949.45. There was no mention of the $511.70 having been applied to the price of the ticket nor was there any notation of my seat selections. I have spent the LAST TWO HOURS on the phone, being bounced from one agent to the next (at least one of them did not understand English well at all), being disconnected, being given phone numbers that are not in service. It has been a dreadful experience.

I would like immediate attention to this problem.
