I am all for free speech but I do not see the point of your printing a letter
from Union County Information Director, Sebastian D'Elia, that contained no less
than three internet links and eight attacks upon the person of county-watcher
Tina Renna. Linking from a newspaper has to be unwieldy and I don't believe
anyone questions Mr. D'Elia's enmity towards Ms. Renna, someone he has
previously harassed, insulted, and sued (unsuccessfully).
Instead, couldn't you have printed Mr. D'Elia's letter explaining why Union is
the second-highest-taxed county in the nation? Or the one outlining how the
Renewable Energy Initiative has enriched campaign donors DeCotiis, Fitzpatrick
and PMK/BSG Group, as represented by Ryan Garner, former county employee and
future Mt. Fuji trekker with County Manager George Devanney, to the tune of a
quarter of a million dollars so far? Or the one laying out the real costs for
the musicfest?
But perhaps those letters were never written as Mr. D'Elia had other priorities,
like intimidating away criticism of his employers on issues of relevance through
character assassination of those who would raise uncomfortable issues as a
warning to those who might consider doing likewise.

Speaking of harrassment, i find it curious that Mr. Bury chose to blind copy me (see below) at myCounty email address during my off hourswith his inaccurate accusations and defense of Ms. Renna's personal attacks. As Mr. Bury fails to disclose his involvement with Ms. Renna, you may want to include this under his byline: Mr. Bury is also a frequent contributing writer and supporter of Ms. Renna's anti-County organization (in fact his latest contribution may be viewed online at ). He also appears frequently on her video show.

Interesting interpretation of 'frequently'. According to my log all I find going to are 10 emails sent between 1/6/09 and 7/22/09 all alerting him to upcoming blogs to appear on njvoices relating to Union County. I have never asked for information or otherwise harassed anyone. I would be glad to release all the emails and look forward to seeing any that Mr. D'Elia sees as harassing.
I have, of course, left off sending him or copying him on any further emails since I don't wish to risk catching him on his off-hours, or when he's taking one of his six vacation weeks, or 3 sick weeks, or holidays, or possible furlough days, or while he might be otherwise engaged on political campaigns.
