It is our immense pleasure to welcome you as a student of the first semester of International Business in Warsaw School of Economics in the winter semester of 2016/2017. We hope you will enjoy your studying here.

HOW TO DECLARE COURSES ON MASTER STUDIES?

The time limit for the choice of courses for the winter semester 2016/2017 for you are from 26thtill 29th September 2016 in Virtual Dean’s Office.

To choose your subjects please follow the instructions below.

1.The most important information is the plan of studies. Please read the table below carefully to choose your courses in a proper way.

4.Choice of courses deadlines for the winter semester 2016/2017 for students of International Business starting their first semester on 1st October 2016
From 26.09.2016
Till 29.09.2016 / In this period every student of International Business who starts their first semester of studies on 1st October 2016is obliged to choose a lecture group and class group for the winter semester 2014/2015 by Virtual Dean’s Office in accordance to Teaching Schedule.
When choosing lectures and classes make sure they do not overlap in your individual student’s schedule.

HINTS TO CREATE YOUR INDIVIDUAL SCHEDULE

•Firstly, you shouldchoose core courses which are obligatory for all Master students of International Business.

•Secondly, you shouldchoose major courses which are obligatory for all students of International Business.

•Then, you may choose minor courses depending on the area of your interests.

Please remember that:

•the ECTS points must total 120;

•to complete a semester and get the credit you need to obtain minimum 30 ECTS points;

•the choice of courses is possible only through Virtual Dean`s Office. There is no possibility to register for the winter semester 2016/2017 courses directly in the Master Studies Dean’s Office;

•the list of elective classes is shown on the web page.

OBLIGATORY E-LEARNING TRAININGS ON E-SGH PLATFORM

Occupational Health and Safety Training (BHP), Library Training and Fundamentals of Intellectual Property Protection

We would like to invite you to e-learning trainings:

  • Occupational Health Safety Training (BHP);
  • Library Training;
  • Fundamentals of Intellectual Property Protection.

Trainings are obligatory and free. In case trainings are not completed the student will not be granted credit for the first semester.

The e-learning trainings will be activated on university website on 1st October 2016 and closed on 8th November 2016. You should self-study all the training materials and pass the obligatory tests, following the instructions provided.

The students who have graduated from the first-degree studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and accomplished above mentioned trainings do not need to take the trainings again.

Students can use the BHP and Library Training materials as well as complete the test at home or in the e-sgh laboratory, which is located in room 226 in the building G of WSE. The staff of The Centre for Development of Distance and Continuing Education are willing to help you and answer any questions concerning the e-learning trainings or using the platform.

OUR LOCATION AND CAMPUS

The Warsaw School of Economics is conveniently situated in central Warsaw, adjacent to the city's largest park and next to the metro station "Pole Mokotowskie". It consists of seven buildings, including the newest one opened in December 2006 (building C). On the SGH campus, you can also find Poland’s largest economic library with a collection of over one million volumes.
