To Support the Playgroup in the Day to Day Running and Development of the Childcare Facilities

JOB TITLE: / Playgroup Assistant
SALARY: / £7.50 per hour
HOURS: / 8 hours per week, term time only to be worked 8 am – 9 am (Mon, Tues Thurs & Fri), 2 pm – 3pm (Mon, Thurs & Fri), 1 pm – 2pm (Tues)
Autumn term only afternoons will be 12.10pm-3pm (Mon, Thurs & Fri)

1.JOB PURPOSE

To support the Playgroup in the day to day running and development of the Childcare facilities.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To set up play equipment as directed by the Playgroup Leader.
To use own initiative when appropriate in setting up the room according to the planned activities for the day.
To tidy away equipment at the end of the play session.
To check contents of play equipment and ensure all parts are stored together, locating missing items as required.
To ensure items are stored correctly and adhere to health and safety standards.
To highlight any broken or poorly maintained equipment.
To participate in staff meetings and training
To be involved with fund-raising activities as appropriate.
To be flexible to the needs of the Playgroup
To ensure that all health and safety instructions are followed in line with the Playgroup’s Health and Safety polices.
