We want you to know, mija, that we never gave you up and that yourlast words asking us, “Do you love me?”were the driving force that made usrisk all that we had to keep you with your grandma, your aunts and uncles, and your cousins who love you so very much.

No onewill ever tell you the truth…no one will ever tell you to what extend we loved you. We DID NOT abandon you, our precious child, we fought so veryhard for you, risking our health, enduring ridicule, and so much unjusttreatment. We loved you so much that our hearts are broken knowing that youwill now be growing up like so many other children thinking that theirfamilies didn’t love them. That is so far from the truth.
