Section Two – Job Purpose
The European School of Osteopathy (ESO) is a Qualsafe approved centre for First Aid Training and as such the role holder will be a dedicated first aid trainer and assessor on a range of first aid courses to be taught on the ESO campus and off site on client premises.
Section Three – Main Responsibilities
  • To facilitate the delivery and assessment of various courses to clients in accordance with the ESO guidelines and standards.
  • To ensure training meets the Qualsafe Regulations
  • To be responsible for the setting up of course venues in preparation for training.
  • To ensure the preparation and processing of all necessary administration including registers and evaluations and communication with the training administrator.
  • To adhere to the ESO’s Health and Safety procedures, Quality Assurance and general ESO procedures.
  • To act as an ambassador of the ESO at all times
  • Following the completion of every course, the equipment must be de-contaminated and made ready for the next course.
  • Any defect in the equipment should be reported immediately to the training administrator.
  • As well as the duties detailed above the successful candidate will be expected to carry out any reasonable tasks asked of them that are within their capabilities to ensure the efficient delivery of training and the smooth running of the business.

Section Four – Dimensions
The role holder will be delivering first aid courses to a high standard, following a specific pathway and process for external and internal candidates.
The first aid courses that we run are:
First Aid at Work (and requalification)
Emergency First Aid at Work
Basic Life Support
AED
Paediatric First Aid
There will be a maximum of 12 delegates per course and equipment is provided by the ESO
You must have a clinical qualification (nurse, paramedic, technician, ECA/ECSW, Osteopath, Physiotherapist etc.), have a full FAW and a teaching and assessing qualification (PTTLS & an assessor course as a minimum).
You will have a clinical background and a 24 month traceable training history with evidence of positive feedback.
