Main purpose and objectives
We’re seeking an experienced marketing assistant with excellent interpersonal skills to join our busy sales and marketing team in Stourbridge. The successful candidate will work closely with our Business Development Director and sales teams to raise the profile of the business, assist in the planning and co-ordination of sales and marketing campaigns and provide administrative, and clerical support to department members as and when appropriate. They will also be responsible for all Talbot’s events – including invitations, attendance lists, payments and administration etc. The right candidate will be responsible for keeping the website up to date and creating the internal and external newsletters on a monthly basis.
Key tasks and responsibilities (full training will be given)
  • To co-ordinate group wide marketing activities
  • To organise Talbots networking events including, but not exclusively to, the Stourbridge Breakfast Club, and PAW. To also attend events and represent the company.
  • To maintain and update the marketing database
  • To maintain and update the budget and keep track of all marketing spends.
  • To provide client care and develop long lasting relationships with Talbots business contacts
  • To provide, manage and update marketing materials as and when required
  • To update Talbots website as required
  • To maintain, develop and cleanse databases
  • To write draft articles/PR releases for approval by BD Director
  • To deal with requests for advertisements, creation of and liaising with external suppliers such as newspapers to find out costs etc.
  • To manage social media posting, including Facebook and Twitter on a daily basis, using Hootsuite.
  • To carry out all administrative duties within the department including taking minutes, preparation of reports and also assist in the preparation of presentations
  • To carry out data analysis and create relevant reports and spread sheets including KPI reports on a monthly basis
  • To deal with all initial marketing queries
  • To deal with external suppliers, where appropriate, such as printers, signage, SEO, Website etc. This will include getting quotations and chasing print delivery
  • To distribute marketing materials throughout the practice where appropriate
  • To compile packs for seminars and meetings
  • To organise, where appropriate, seminars
