RE: National Philanthropy Day Awards – Call for Nominations

One of the many excellent opportunities and privileges we have as AFP members is to give meaningful honor and recognition to those outstanding individuals and organizations that help make our work so very special-our donors and volunteers. Those people who give generously of themselves and their resources in order to build a better world (and who at the same time brighten our lives with their help) deserve the most public and distinguished recognition we can give them. National Philanthropy Day is an excellent opportunity for AFP members to recognize the contributions of individuals, corporations and organizations that make Arkansas a better place to live.

In keeping with tradition, the Arkansas Chapter will honor award winners at our annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon to be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2014at The Embassy Suites.

Please take time to consider nominating those that are most important to you, your Board, and your organization. Enclosed in this packet are detailed instructions and guidelines for the eight different categories.

Please note there are three requirements to which there are not exceptions:

  1. You must be a member of the Arkansas Chapter to submit a nomination.
  2. Past honorees cannot be nominated for the same category they have been previously recognized. A list of past honorees is in this packet.
  3. The completed nomination must be submitted in electronic format to the chapter by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2014. Paper nominations will not be accepted.

Let us hear from you! The Philanthropy Awards Selection Committee is ready to accept the challenge of selecting the winners from among the many distinguished nominees received from our colleagues.
