  1. PURPOSE OF JOB
  2. To be responsible, under the guidance of senior staff, for administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school.
  3. To assist with the planning and development of support services.
  4. To contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.

  1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  2. Contribute to the planning, development and organisation of support service systems, procedures and policies.
  3. Provide personal, administrative and organisational support to other staff.
  4. Provide administrative and organisational support to the Governing Body.
  5. Manage and maintain manual and computerised records and management information systems.
  6. Carry out research, obtain information, and analyse and evaluate data and information, and produce reports and records as required.
  7. Undertake typing, word-processing, and complex ICT-based tasks.
  8. Carry out administration of complex procedures, including the completion and submission of forms and returns to the DfES and other external agencies
  9. Undertake complex financial administration procedures, assist with the planning, monitoring and evaluation of budgets, and manage expenditure within an agreed budget.
  10. Administer the Payroll system.
  11. Monitor and manage stock within an agreed budget, catalogue resources and undertake audits as required.
  12. Manage administration of facilities including the use of school premises, including uniform, snack and other school ‘shops.
  13. Undertake reception duties, including dealing with complex issues and visitors.
  14. Assist with procurement and sponsorship activities, and the marketing and promotion of the school.
  15. Participate in the supervision, training and development of support staff as required.
  16. Provide advice and guidance to staff, pupils and others.
  17. Organise school trips and events.
  18. Participate in training and development activities and programmes, and attend and participate in meetings as required.
  19. Appreciate and support the role of other professionals, and establish constructive relationships and communicate with other agencies and professionals.
  20. Comply with, and assist with the development of, policies and procedures, and report all concerns to an appropriate person, in respect of:
  21. child protection,
  22. health, safety and security,
  23. confidentiality, and
  24. data protection.
  25. Contribute to the school’s commitment to equality of access to opportunities to learn and develop for all pupils..
  26. Undertake these duties within agreed departmental service/school objectives, policies and procedures and promote the Council's Equal Opportunities Policy.
