Payroll Analyst:

Essential Functions:

  • Participation in the Bi-weekly payroll processes, including the Kronos approval and sign off.
  • Participation in periodic PS tax Patches, bundles, and upgrade application and testing.
  • Participation in periodic Kronos upgrades application and testing.
  • Participation in periodic HR Payroll ERP meetings.
  • Generation, maintenance, and running of ad-hoc and pre-established payroll reports needed out of PS and Kronos.
  • Performs system administrator security duties needed for Kronos and PS Payroll users.
  • Participation in the Federal, State, & Local payroll quarterly and annual tax reconciliation, payment, and filing.
  • Troubleshooting system problems in PS and Kronos.
  • Participation with evaluating and recommending technology solutions to ensure the accuracy of payroll, increase efficiency, and streamline payroll processes.
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly DOL reporting.
  • Preparation and submission of annual census data.
  • Preparation of Payroll metrics and scorecard measures.
  • Works with the accounting group to provide information needed with account reconciliations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Kronos and Peoplesoft HR Payroll.
  • Assist with or perform project management of varying types within the payroll department.
  • Conduct offsite Kronos trainings as necessary.
  • Assist with payroll audits.
  • Development and maintenance of payroll training materials for Kronos and PS.
  • Provide support and expertise to Supervisor.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as backup to other department members as necessary
  • Participation of Project teams as needed
  • Availability to work extra hours as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Supervisory chain

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field plus three years Payroll experience or five years of Payroll related experience with supervision, and increasing Payroll related responsibilities.
  • Proficient with HR Payroll applications preferred, specifically PS and/or Kronos.
  • Experience with web-based resources to research payroll issues.
  • Detailed understanding of payroll reports/registers and how they tie together.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Facilitation/presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Communication and organizational skills.
