Position Title: Day School Director
Reports To: Groups Pastor
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary:
Leadership, supervision of staff, and administrative skills to manage the Day School are key expectations for this position. Promote the spiritual, emotional, physical, social and cognitive development of each child. Motivate staff to perform their job duties with enthusiasm and excellence unto God.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Select and secure all personnel for the Day School, such being submitted to the Director of Accounting and Finance for approval prior to hiring.
- Supervise, evaluate and assist personnel on a daily basis including managing hours in TLO.
- Maintain and conform to all state licensing standards of safety and cleanliness that is conducive to optimal growth and development of children who attend the Day School.
- Oversee the Day School program for the children and parents in regard to the Department of Human Services requirements and also to the education objectives.
- Ensure that all standards are observed and maintained in order to achieve a 3-Star ECERS rating.
- Maintain contact with and report verbally and in writing to the Department of Human Services and other regulatory agencies.
- Constantly build and improve the total curriculum of the school.
- Hold regular staff meetings for team.
- Ensure that all workers (paid or volunteer) have read and understand the Prevention of Child and Youth Abuse Policy.
- Be capable and available to step into the classroom and teach on all age levels.
- Report weekly to the Staff Team Leader: any proposed changes in policies, any proposed deviation from the approved budget, or progress and evaluation of teaching personnel.
- Maintain contact with and act as a liaison between parents, staff and child care organizations.
- Prepare and submit payroll for all staff associated with Day School program.
- Tour prospective families through facility.
- Prepare and present proposed annual financial budgets to the Director of Accounting and Finance
- Monthly meet with supervisor one on one to review work load, updates, and performance. If you are a supervisor, meet monthly with each team member individually to review work load, updates, and performance.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. An emphasis in early childhood development is expected. 3-5 years experience in working with children and/or the education system.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Certificate, License, Registrations:
None required.
