‘As it appears that our Derlict Sites Act and the implementation of same is not having the desired effect that this Council expected it to have and with the lack of improvement in the sites identified, I Bryan Reilly call on our Manager and Officials to examine every and any possibility of some form of re-generation programme for our historic town. In doing so this council should adopt a partnership approach with allthe property owners involved, property developers, any Government departments which may be identified as a source of funding or support, Chamber Of Commerce and our Dail Deputies’ (Councillor B Reilly)
‘This Council notes the importance made by the Irish College of General Practitioners (Meath Faculty) of retaining all the current services in Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan and a halt to the erosion of services is supported by the Council.
This Motion identifies the importance of the full services at Our Lady’s Hospital has for the community of Navan, Kells and the County of Meath. The retention of services is even more critical when you consider that 660 employees employed in Tara Mines rely on full HSE services at Our Lady’s Hospital’. (Councillor T Grimes)
