YOUTH CONSULTATION SERVICE

DOCUMENT #: I-2 Procedure Date: 7.28.10

Rev.: 10.12.10

TITLE: Training, Supervising and Evaluating Volunteers

  1. PURPOSE: To establish procedures for the acceptance of volunteers

II. INTRODUCTION: Some consumers in our care have little or no family presence in their lives. YCS Volunteers provide these consumers with that much needed one-on-one attention. After an orientation and training, Volunteers are matched up with a consumer and begin making a difference by giving a minimum of one hour a week of time. In addition to mentoring opportunities, Volunteers also organize various drives to collect new clothing, arts & crafts and other supplies, as well as host a party or plan a project to make our residences more welcoming
