CC: Mr. Humphrey Mbiydzenyuy Tah
Dear Sir,
We have been contacted by Mr. Humphrey Mbiydzenyuy Tah, Director of Plants Genetic Association (PGA) Bamenda, Cameroon to write a recommendation on his behalf as part of the requirements for the CBBIA-IAIA small grants 2004 - 2005.
We in PRTC, especially the teaching and extension staff knew Humphrey as a collaborator since 1993 (11 years), during which time he was working for Helvetas as head of Natural Resource Management programme. Since PRTC is specialized in agricultural training and production, together with Helvetas (Humphrey as the main person), we jointly organized and facilitated several training courses on soil conservation, tree planting and production of medicinal plants with farmers’ groups, NGOs partners and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) at all levels.
Mr. Humphrey Tah is an agronomist, with specialized skills on environmental education and forestry development, particularly related to bio-resource management for watershed protection. Humphrey has demonstrated a mastery of his subject with focus on capacity building strategies, elaboration of guidelines and promotion of local ownership in project management.
In the light of our knowledge on his personal profile, Humphrey has a good sense of direction, purposeful and dedicated to his job. He is creative, innovative and above all transparent. PRTC unreservedly recommends that on behalf of Mr. Humphrey Tah, PGA Bamenda should benefit from a CBBIA-IAIA grant, which will enable them to attain the lofty objectives of their proposal on “Ecological Monitoring of Extinctive Medicinal Plants and Spices in Kov-vifem (Nso) and Kov-rifem (Mbiame) Mountain Forests”.
Yours Sincerely,
Fru Barnabas Adey
Principal, PRTC Fonta
