Job Summary:

Accume is looking for an experienced Internal Auditor for our Banking group to provide internal audit and consulting services for our financial institutions (FI) clients.

General Responsibilities:

  • Perform and supervise audit of client insurance and investment operations, and third party vendors
  • Plan and manage engagements, conduct and supervise fieldwork, discuss findings and observations during client exit meetings
  • Prepare work papers to support conclusions, as well as written audit reports
  • Review workpapers to ensure they meet Accume Partners’ standards
  • Coordinate planning and execution of audits and projects with the external auditors
  • Perform and document walkthroughs with process owners and external auditors
  • Ensure process documentation is adequate and complete; update or develop control documentation and narratives for business processes. Review existing controls to determine validity and effectiveness.
  • Perform testing and other audit tasks and provide training and guidance to staff members to ensure quality audits.
  • Provide recommendations for control deficiency remediation plans.
  • Ensure audits and project meet all deadlines and is performed within budget
  • Communicate results to client Senior Management

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience delivering internal audit services to financial institutions
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Actexperience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required, finance or accounting preferred
  • CPA, CIA, or CISA certifications preferred
  • Must possess an understanding of the COSO framework, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, financial reporting risk, internal controls, and US GAAP
  • Demonstrate expertise in select area of functional specialty, preferably lending compliance and BSA
  • Travel 15 - 30%
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees of all levels at the client and their external auditors
  • Ability to achieve desired results through others
