Tiffin University, School of Criminal Justice and Social Sciences, is offering a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Homeland Security/Terrorism Major. The Homeland Security/Terrorism Major provides students with a global understanding of real security threats posed by transnational terrorist organizations. The major is designed to provide an opportunity to understand homeland security issues and challenges in context of the new and evolving contemporary operating environment. While terrorism is certainly a key emphasis, the major also focuses on planning for and assessing real world situations from a first responder’s viewpoint.

The need for college graduates with a grasp of the complexities associated with homeland security and terrorism is clear. This innovative major affords one the chance to hone professional interests while acquiring traditional skill sets needed to succeed in the 21st century.

Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Homeland Security Major curriculum:

Homeland Security/Terrorism Major (30 semester hours)

Criminal Justice Core Courses (18 semester hours)

Liberal Education Core (49 semester hours)

Elective/minor (24 semester hours)
