General Manager

Thunder Hills Country Club

16682 Thunder Hills Drive

Peosta, Iowa 52068

A growing membership (336 members), a solid financial position, an outstanding golf course, committed members, and a great staff characterize Thunder Hills Country Club. The Board of Directorsis searching for a knowledgeable, friendly, and visionary leader to serve as General Manager to help us continue to grow our membership and sustain our upward trajectory into the future.

This fall we borrowed $1 million at a very low interest rate to complete a series of redesigns and upgrades called for in our Strategic Plan for 2016-2019 which was approved by the Board this past April. Noting our excellent financial position the Strategic Plan called for redesigning all of the bunkers on our course and building a short game practice area, making significant upgrades to our swimming pool and building a new kiddie pool, rebuilding our three tennis courts and building a rest room on the back nine. All of these projects will be completed by next summer.

How would you describe Thunder Hills? This excerpt from a letter written by a recent new member says it all: “THCC has fantastic men’s, women’s, and couple’s golf leagues. And, it turns out; they also have a really nice pool, [and] an excellent… kid’s golf program. My kids had never golfed, but they do now and they can hardly get enough. I don’t know about you, but I have never heard of any country club that more than merely tolerates kids. THCC make them a priority, not only at the pool, but on the golf course and with special occasion events (think Fourth of July, Christmas and Easter, etc.)… This is not your stuffy, snooty, rich old geezer's club.

Please see our website for photos and information about our history, golf course, Pro Shop, special events, membership and Club House.
