ZOMBIE RUN
Run For Your Lives!
JEFFERSON HILLS, PA, September 28, 2012 - Ready for a competition that will really get your blood pounding? As autumn soon approaches, so does Thomas Jefferson High School's second annual Zombie Run, a 5K that is sure to send chills up your spine. The event is open to any brave soul willing to partake in the race, where the finish line is the only way to survive. For those less of heart, participants are invited to put on their Halloween costumes and walk the course, but beware of what lies hidden throughout. Following the run will be a bonfire, a bake sale, and a haunted hayride.
The Zombie Run is a fundraiser with the proceeds benefiting the Thomas Jefferson High School prom. The event is located at the “Breisinger Complex” on 525 Waterman East in Jefferson Hills. Participants of all ages are invited to attend, from elementary age to adults. Pre-sale begins September 26 through October 12. Children (ages 11 and younger) cost $15 and adults (12 and older) cost $20. The entry fee increases $10 on the day of registration. The first 50 participants will receive an official Zombie Run t-shirt. For those who are attending the bonfire only, there is a $5 fee. Registration starts at 4:30 pm and the run begins at 5:15 pm.
