This trip is only available to Law, Economics, Accountancy, Finance and Risk Undergraduate students in 1st -3rd year.

This summer the University is giving students the opportunity to participate in study visits to support a learning and cultural exchange with Universities with whom we have a strong international partnership. Within GSBS, one group of 12 1st -3rd year students from Law, Economics, Accountancy, Finance and Risk degree undergraduate programmes will be selected to visit the University of Jinan (UJN) in the Guangdong province, China.

The study visit will be for approximately 2 weeks and during this time you would be involved in cultural activities, taught programmes and have some opportunity for sightseeing. Please note that if your application is successful,you will be required contribute £600 towards the total cost of your trip.

A member of the school Academic staff will accompany the group and the provisional dates for the visitare:

UJN (China), first 2 weeks of June 2013.

If you are interested in applying to participate in the study visit:

  • Please complete this form and return it by email with a scanned copy of your passport details to with ‘JINAN’ in the subject by Tuesday2nd April midday.
  • If you have previously participated in a study trip you cannot apply.

Selection process:

  • Submit acompleted application form and valid passport details.
  • Pleasemake sure you enter as much information as possible in the selection questions and take time to present yourself properly.
  • Preference will be given to students who can show a good track record in volunteering/community involvement.
  • 12 undergraduate students willbe selectedto participate in each study visit. Applications will be considered by the school on a first come served basis. We will try to select a balance of male and female 1st-3rd yearstudents from Law, Economics, Accountancy, Finance and Risk degree undergraduate programmes.
  • If you are successful you will have to pay £600 to participate in thestudy visit and provide your own spending money.All other costs are covered by GCU.
  • When you come back to GCU from the study visit you must participate in incoming reciprocal study visits as well as promoting GCU study trips to the GCU student body.
  • Please submit a scanned copy of your passport details with your application. All passports must be valid until April 2014.
  • All applications and passport details will be stored in a confidential and secure location. Unsuccessful applications and passport details will be securely destroyedto comply with the GCU data protection policy.
  • Please note that if you are not a UK or EU passport holder there may be visa restrictions which could exclude you from participation in these visits.
