Acknowledgements

To all those involved in the development and delivery of the 24-Hour Oil Spill Response training in Glennallen, Alaska, during the week of May 7, 2013:

This training has been developed to assist the villages in Rural Alaska with developing capacity to respond to petroleum-related spills through relevant training, technical assistance, and collaborative efforts. The long list of those acknowledged here shows that Alaska has a tremendous amount of experience and motivated staff that are working toward developing resources and response capacity. Participating in the 24-Hour Oil Spill Response training were 20 representatives from 13 villages and organizations throughout Alaska. Sixteen 24-hour Oil Spill Response certificates and four 16-hour Oil Spill Awareness certificates were presented. Eleven of these participants also received their 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher certification.

The Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals wishes to thank the Copper River Native Association for their support and assistance with logistics, delivery, and funding assistance through EPA Brownfields Program Grant.We would like to extend our appreciation to AvaMarie Greybear, Coretta Stevens, and Gary Hay, for their dedication to the successful delivery of this course and keeping us nourished during the week with a tight schedule. The variety of presenters contributing to the content of this course has also made it successful and interesting to participants.
