This is to inform you that your son/daughter/ward has an opportunity to participate in training with our unit on 27, 28, 29 October 2017. Cadets taking part in this training must bring this completed form with them on the date of departure. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will a cadet be allowed to participate without this form being approved by a Parent/Guardian.

It isMANDATORY the cadet have his\her Ontario Health Card in their possession (not a photocopy). Failure to produce their card will mean the cadet will not be allowed to attend the planned training.

All personal medication must be held and administered by the cadet. Please note ALL MEDICATION must be in it’s original container, clearly labeled with only the amount needed for the duration of the training exercise. If medication requires refrigeration, officers will make storage arrangements. Parents/Guardians are requested to initial if they agree or disagree to have Tylenol 325 mg tablets for pain or fever will be administered per package directives administered if necessary by the Commanding Officer of the First Aid Officer to their son/daughter/ward during the exercise. From Friday 27 October toSunday 28 October2017, the 41 PPHS RCACCwill participate in field training at CFB Borden. Parents should note that this exercise will be conducted in seasonal weather conditions. Barring very unusual circumstances, Cadets will be expected to remain outside and participate in training activities ALL day and evening Saturday, and Sunday until departure time. This is a mandatory component of the cadet training program. A prepared a list of equipment that is REQUIRED for all participants in this exercise is listed below.

As with all our cadet activities, this exercise will be conducted by experienced and certified Canadian Forces instructors with special training for the safe conduct of field exercises. The safety of all participants is our top priority.

Cadets will report to Port Perry High Schoot at 160 Rosa Street, Port Perry at 1800 hrs. Buses depart PROMPTLYat1830 hrs. We will be returning to Port Perry High School at approximately 1600 hrs.

NOTE: Due to limited support this week-end Cadets are required to bring the following kit. Cadets who do not yet have their combat uniforms are to bring appropriate warm civilian clothing.

The Cadet Corps is not responsible for any lost personal items. Equipment not worn will be carried in either one clearly marked kit bag OR one rucksack which they are capable of carrying. No knives of any kind are allowed (other than multi-tool). NOFOOD ALLOWED. Cell phones are allowed during down time only, Cadets are not to be in possession for their cell phones during training hours, cadets found in possession of cell phones during training hours will face disciplinary action. A kit search will be performed on arrival at the departure point and cadets with kit deficiencies will not be able to attend the training weekend.
