Location / The Rosmini Centre, Wisbech
Line Manager / Leonnie Barlow
Hours / 12:30-3:30pm Thursday every other week
Purpose of Job / To support the Hearing Voice Group

General Duties
All volunteers are required to fulfil the role in line with CPSL Mind’s values:

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
To provide non-judgemental support for each group member
To facilitate the opportunity for group members to talk openly with others, share experiences and provide peer support
To create a space where people can learn new ideas and develop insight into their mental health
To enable group members to focus on coping skills and strategies for dealing with difficult feelings and situations
To challenge preconceptions and thinking which may otherwise stand in the way of progress
To enable group members to focus on coping skills and strategies for dealing with difficult feelings and situations
To encourage the client to become more independent to reduce their dependency on the service
To complete relevant paperwork and keep necessary records
To raise/report safeguarding issues that may come up according to CPSL Mind policy and procedure
To attend regular formal supervision and meetings as required
