Overview:
This function will enable the learn vehicle configuration along with the tire size programmed into the TIPM.
Functional Requirements
1. / Initialize CVT / Display for Functional Test1.1 / Once the user chooses this function display the following text “This function is to be used when the CVT controller has been replaced or needs to be re-initialized. This function will program a new or existing CVT with the current vehicle configuration, VIN, trans ROM values and the tire size programmed into the TIPM.” Please give the user provisions to either continue or exit. / Display Tx and Rx strings
1.2 / Once the user chooses this function check for engine RPM.
Send SID $21 LID $0B byte 13 and monitor response. If response is >$012C display the following text. “Engine must Not be running to perform this function.” Please give the user provisions to exit. / Display Tx and Rx strings
1.3 / Once the response from SID $22 LID $03 byte 4 is <$09 continue. / Display Tx and Rx strings
1.4 / Check for transmission in Park.
Send SID $21 LID $06 and monitor response. If response byte 2 bit = 0 display the following text. “The transmission must be in Park to perform this function.” Please give the user provisions to exit. / Display Tx and Rx strings
2 / Once the response from SID $22 LID $06 byte 2 bit 0 = 1 send SID $31 $01 / Display Tx and Rx strings
2.1 / If SID $31 $01 response data test results byte 2 = $80 display the following text “Unexpected Error, Values Not Learned, Battery Must Be Fully Charged and Transmission in Park. Please Follow Setup Instructions.” Please give the user provisions to either retry or exit. / Display Tx and Rx strings
2.3 / If SID $31 $01 response data test results byte 2 = $00 display the following text “Turn the Ignition Key Off for 2 Seconds Then Back to Run.” / Display Tx and Rx strings
2.4 / Wait 10 seconds from message display in step 2.4 then clear fault codes by sending SID $14 $FF00. / Display Tx and Rx strings
2.5 / If negative response from SID $14 display the following text “Unexpected Error, Values Not Learned.” Please give the user provisions to either retry or exit. / Display Tx and Rx strings
2.6 / If positive response from SID $14 display the following text “Turn the Ignition Key Off for 2 Seconds Then Back to Run.” / Display Tx and Rx strings
2.7 / Display the following text “Initialization Complete, Please Check and Erase any Faults That May Have Set During the Initialization Routine.” / Display Tx and Rx strings
