Beauty and the Beach has everything to make your stay memorable & fun!Centrally located & within walking distance to all Island shops & restaurants. Enjoy fabulous views of the Gulf from newly-expanded covered and open decks. If you are staying in, you will enjoy multiple TVs/DVDs/VCRs & CD player. High chair, porta-crib and baby gates provided. All bedrooms have private baths with hairdryers.
The best thing about the house is its location. Of course it is beachfront, but it is also right next to the park which has a playground, a basketball court, and picnic area and it is within walking distance of all of the shops and restaurants. There is a boardwalk to the beach.
The house has free wi-fi (password = RVPHS) and premium cable channels and there is a movie-rental kiosk just steps away. The game closet is filled with fun games, puzzles and books.
The king sized master bed with its morning view of the sunrise is extremely comfortable as is the queen sized bed on the top level. Both bedrooms have a view of the ocean. The third bedroom down the hall from the master has twin beds. There are ceiling fans in every bedroom. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom with hairdryers and extra towel racks.
Linens, towels and dishtowels are provided. Bath soap, dish detergent, hand soap, paper towels and toilet tissue are provided as well.
If anything goes wrong during your stay, Resort Vacation Properties1-877-272-8206 will send someone out to fix it. Each guest is provided with a code to unlock the door during their stay so there are no keys to lose.
The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and serving. Lots of glasses, plates, flatware, knives, can & bottle openers, cookware, pitchers, a mixer, a coffee maker, a toaster and a microwave. There is also a grilling area beside the boardwalk to the beach. There are at least two trucks on the island selling seafood that is great for grilling.
The house is pet-friendly and kid-friendly. We provide baby gates to keep your kids/pets off of the stairs as well as a high chair and baby crib.

There are two grocery stores within walking distance, a small grocery store in Eastpoint, and two larger grocery stores in Apalachicola (20 minute drive). The Blue Store (on your right as you come onto the island) has a great deli with Boars Head meats that are cheaper than our Publix.
The nearest airports are Tallahassee and Panama City (both 80 miles).
Boats, Jet Skis, Bicycles, Golf Carts, etc. are available for rent nearby.
Check In time is 4:00PM, Check Out time is 10:00AM. After hours arrival can be arranged.
Payment Policy: Within 10 days of booking, reservations made in advance require 25% of the total rent due to confirm your reservation. A second payment of 25% is due 90 days prior to arrival with the final balance due 30 days prior to arrival. For last minute reservations made less than 45 days prior to arrival, full payment is due within 48 hours of booking. Personal check, money order, cashier's check, web check are acceptable forms of payment. Visa/Mastercard/Discover are accepted with an added convenience fee.

  • Basketball or Volleyball – There’s a basketball and volleyball in the game closet. The basketball court is in the park near the house and the volleyball area is on the beach between the house and the Blue Parrot.

  • Circle of Friends (one of our favorite things to do) – Every Thursday at 6PM – Sometimes It’s Hotter – just across the street and down to the right from Beauty and the Beach. A great gathering place for locals and vacationers to meet. Cash Beer/Wine bar. Appetizers featuring spices from the store. Pets on leash welcome. Music sometimes.
  • Grill some fish – If you didn’t catch your own, there are two trucks on the island that sell fresh fish. We like Doug’s, but Dail’s is okay too. We’ve had good fish from both. (You’ll need to buy/bring charcoal for the grill).

  • Fishing off of the old bridge (we’ve walked out & watched the fishermen – haven’t done it ourselves yet).
