TheVDW offers a comprehensive service package themed around the EMO Hannover 2017
London, 09 May 2017. – The EMO Hannover 2017, the world’s premier trade fair for the metalworking sector, will be held from 18 to 23 September. It is being organised by the VDW (German Machine Tool Builders’ Association), Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on behalf of the European Association of the Machine Tool Industries (CECIMO)from Brussels, Belgium, and in conjunction with the trade fair hosting company DeutscheMesse AG, Hanover, Germany. The VDW speaks for the German machine tool industry, and is one of the few sectoral organisations that holds international trade fairs on its own account for the segment it represents. It can draw upon long years of relevant experience in this field.The seal of quality symbolised by “A VDW trade fair” has evolved into a trademark for successful events. These include not only the EMO Hannover, but also the METAV in Düsseldorf, the internationalexhibition for metalworking technologies(next dates: 20 to 24 February 2018).
Together with the Machine Tools and Production Systems Association of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA),the VDW has around 300members, who have signed up voluntarily. They account for about 90 per cent of the sector’s total turnover in Germany. The VDW represents the interests of its members in both a national and international context.
