This page is designed to show the club’s quickest people in each category since it was formed in 1990. Unfortunately I only have records for the LRRL going back to 1999, so these records may well need amending. To start the pages for various distances I have done a little research but not extensive.

These records do not reflect the three fastest times run by a Strider. If we had that then we would have the same names recurring over and over again. It was thought that the better way do it was to have the fastest times but only one claim per person per category. However, if an individual has the fastest time for a distance at V40 and V50, then they can be included.

If you feel that you have a time which should be included, then check the ‘rules’ below and then e-mail the Striders’ e-mail account. Please include some way of checking the time out, i.e. scanned results, paper results, links to website result pages or if mentioned in previous newsletters, literally anything to show the result.

These are the brief outlines for being able to claim a time.

  1. The individual must have been a fully paid up member of Desford Striders RC at the time of the event in question.
  2. The individual must have entered or run the event in question as a Desford Strider.
  3. Some form of ‘proof’ must be provided (see above).
  4. DOB to be provided at the time of the claim. This is to confirm what category the time will go into.
  5. Only one claim per person per category allowed.
  6. Only road races to be included as cross-country/multi-terrain has so many varying factors which affect times. Although this may change if and when an ‘Ultra’ section is added.
  7. The ‘Striders’ Quickest’ Administrator’s word is final. Although he/she will listen to appeals.

These guidelines are subject to change when I think of anymore/anything better. Any suggestions/comments please let me know.

Now, start claiming those times!

Thanks very much.

Graham Hobbs.
