Section V - Precautions for Safe Handling and Use

In Case of SpillRinse affected area with copious amounts of water. Soak up with absorbent material.
Disposal MethodIn accordance with applicable Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Protective Controls Suggested
Normal use of products containing formaldehyde does not include situations where the user will be subject to vapors from the products. Protective eyewear required. Gloves and protective clothing required. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. Avoid breathing vapors and mist.
Protective clothing, gloves and safety goggles recommended for all other products.

Section VI - Health and Hazard Data

Principle Health Effects
Products with formaldehyde component may burn the eyes with contact. Formaldehyde component will also produce tearing of the eyes. Respiratory irritation will occur by inhalation. Will irritate the nose, mucous membranes, and the skin. May cause skin sensitization. May be fatal or cause blindness if swallowed. Formaldehyde is also a potential carcinogen.

Exposure Limit For 37% formaldehyde: 8 Hr PEL = 0.75 ppm, STEL = 2 ppm.
Signs-Symptoms of OverexposureIrritation of affected areas.
Emergency and First Aid Procedures
INHALATION: Remove from affected area.
INGESTION: Induce vomiting by giving two glasses of water and pressing finger down victims throat. Never give anything to drink to an unconscious victim. Seek medical attention immediately.
EYE CONTACT: Flush eyes with large amounts of water. Seek medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash affected area with large amounts of soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation exists.
