Dear Parent / Carer

On the evening of Thursday 23rd June there will be a Higher Education application evening for parents/carers in St Wilfrid’s Building (please use the entrance on Lark Hill Rd).

There will be two opportunities to attend the talk dependant on surname:

4.00pm and 6.00pm for Surnames A-K

5.00pm and 7.00pm for Surnames L-Z

(where possible please attend at the allocated time slot)

On this evening Senior Tutors will explain the process of making an application to University to enable you to assist your son/daughter in making informed decisions regarding their progression after college.

Students should not attend this event as space will be limited and all the information given is repeated for students in careers week.

During the afternoon of the 23rd June, there will be a Higher Education and Progression Fair, which your son/daughter will attend.

This has been organised as one of many activities within College to ensure that our students understand the full range of progression options open to them at the end of their College course. As a parent you play a vital role in their decision making processes and therefore you are cordially invited to attend this event along with your son/daughter. The event will take place in the St Bede’s building between 12.15pm and 3.30pm. If you wish to attend please arrange to meet your son/daughter at main reception and they will show you around.

Exhibitors will include Universities, local employers, volunteer organisations, apprenticeship providers, Gap year opportunities and the College Careers team. There will also be a programme of presentations and workshops throughout the afternoon which will inform students of the many and varied opportunities for study and work after College. Your son/daughter will be given a timetable prior to the event.

We look forward to seeing you on the 23rd June.

Regards
