Sunday, January 29- Catholic Schools Mass:2:00 pm at the Cathedral in Albany-Art Show in the South Concourse-reception 3:30-4:00 pm to follow

Monday, January 30-Spirit Day: Children may dress down in red and white or in Spirit Wear

*Service Project A:“Caring for our furry friends”Collection of food items for cats and dogs to be donated to our local animal shelter

*Pep Rally:We will celebrate our school spirit in the gym 1:10-2:15 pm.

*Service Project B:“Gifts of Warmth from Our Hearts” – Mrs. Thomas and students will finalizetheir efforts of knitting/crocheting/sewing hats, mittens/gloves and scarves for the needy.

*Math Day Stations in the Pre K

Tuesday, January 31-Crazy Hair and Door Decorating Day:Everyone comes to school with their crazy hair “do” in preparation for special activities throughout the day

*Decorating classroom doors with a book cover theme throughout the day

*Bingo at 1:30 pm.

*Pre K students wear pajamas and crazy hair-bingo with K-6

Wednesday, February 1-Dress as a Book Character Day:- Everyone comes to school dressed as their favoriteBOOK character or author.

*Governmental Leader’s Day: students will write and send letters or appreciation to their local and state government officials

*Character/Author Parade: The parade of characters: ECP at 11:00 through the hallways and K-6 at 2:00 in the gym

*Reading Buddies: time for sharing a favorite book with their buddies

*Winning doors selected

*Open House :All are invited to attend 6:00-8:00pm.

Thursday, February 2-Thank You to Our Spiritual Leaders: children wear regular uniforms as normal

*Students will be writing letters and cards of gratitude to Father Yanas, Father Powhida and Father Vaughan

*Pre K Science Day: a day of science and scientists

*Spelling Bee:The children in grade 1-6 will be participating in a schoolSpelling Bee in the church at 1:15 pm.

Friday, February 3-Celebrate Catholic Schools:(Children wear dress uniform) children will be transported by busand will be bac by lunch. Dance and Karaoke led by the CCHS community after the mass

in the CCHS gym. Please sign and return this permission slip.

*Honoring Our School Administration, Staff and Faculty: afternoon treats provided

Saturday, February 4-Barker Park 10:00 amMrs. Thomas and a team of students and parents from SHS will meet at Barker Park indowntown Troy to hang their “Gifts of Warmth from Our Hearts” for the needy .
