Patient Survey Comments: 2014-15
1. The Practice Opening Times
Opening Saturdays would be good
Lunch time closed not acceptable
Not aware of how to contact hub or what I can use it for
Very flexible
More information please
Sunday No - Saturday, possibly 10-12 - yes
Very Good
Reasonable
Not great as Doctors don't know medical history which has to be explained (HUB?)
I have never seen a sign showing opening hours
I rely on Bus from Biggins Wood Road - only twice each morning, and often it is 20 mins late (e.g. sat 10th Oct for flu Jab)
Needs to consider 7 day working with other practices?
Surgeries should offer 7 days a week opening
Not knowing I cannot say. Publicity could be better.
Maybe do something about lunchtime
I would like to access repeat prescription forms at lunch time - I've been frustrated by this
Nice to have evening surgery
Don't normally need to come, however, staff are very helpful an opening hours are good
I personally am happy with the times
Ideally weekend opening times would be good
2. Making appointments
Excellent
No computer
Questions 2b - 2d Not applicable (probably no computer)
Questions 2b - 2d Not applicable (probably no computer)
Question 2a - Morning yes, but very difficult in afternoon
I have no computer
Question 2a - when can I get to speak to someone, line can be engaged often
Questions 2b-2d - had no idea could go on line for above - would prefer to do this
I am technophobe and do not use the computer
3. Facilities at the Surgery
Doctors are all very good & caring
Lift
Best Practice
Lift would be great
Question 3d - I didn't notice it - so many patients in waiting room yesterday (10th) waiting for flu jabs
Still required 'personalising' e.g. Pictures/Paintings. Better signage other than English.
Some prints on the walls may cheer the place up a bit
Well Done
As there is always room for improvement is why I only chose 'fairly good'
Car Park for Disable People
4. Are you aware of the services offered at the surgery e.g. minor surgery, various joint injections, infant welfare clinic, travel immunisations etc.?
Warfarin Clinic/Blood Testing
Surgery very helpful at all times
Excellent service provided
More information please
I'm very grateful that Nicola came to give me my flu jab at home - very pleasant person
I do think blood test could be carried out at the surgery
Always been very happy with the Doctors
Very happy with Doctors and Nurses, and Receptionist
Needs better advertising of services available e.g. wall 'Menu'
All very helpful
Only very slightly, have not seen anything promoting these services
Would it be better if the services offered were more visible
5. How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?
Can normally get appointment same day as ring up.
Have always found staff & doctors to be very helpful
Already have made recommendations
My only wish is that you employ another lady Doctor as its not always easy to see Dr. Holwerder
Sometimes appointments are rushed by Doctor and feel like wasting Doctors time, Doctors don't always personalise the appointment
We have to wait too long to see a doctor when you make an appointment
Doctors are always kind and helpful and take time to talk to you. Practice nurses are good and receptionist very helpful
This GP Practice has looked after my late husband and myself since 1987 and I have no criticisms. It's pity they don't have room to expand
Reception desk not disability friendly e.g. wheelchair users. Also it lacks 'warmth' - seems like 'Barrier'
Appropriate treatment & Helpful doctors/nurses on occasions when I have needed to use the surgery
Find the ring back call by the nurse if you need an appointment on the day extremely good and also your receptionist are always extremely helpful
Doctors, Nurses and Reception staff are helpful and professional in their dealings with patients
Generally do not do recommendations because it can be personal thing
I've been frustrated by some aspects of the practice but I recognise the strains that GP services are under
Always polite and helpful, supporting staff, clinical expertise good - excellent
(Unlikely) only because it takes so long to book an appointment (from time called) which is a shame as a;; of the staff are lovely and very professional
They live to far away (extremely unlikely)
Very happy with all aspects
Long waiting times for appointments (neither likely or unlikely)
