Easter Egg Hunt
Jim will e-mail the flyer to Amy who is our new advertising executive. This year we’re trying new age groups: 3 and under, 4-6 and 7 and up. The start times will be staggered at 11, 11:10 and 11:20am.
Odelia Kiefer is our new Easter Bunny.
Bill Danebrock is all set.
We will purchase our prize chocolate bunnies from Jenny’s.
Amy is looking into a cheap price on Easter eggs. She has also volunteered to do our Wegman’s shopping for us and find the golden eggs. Thank you Amy! We’ll need 500 eggs, 500 plastic zip-lock bags, and enough candy to fill them!
We will all meet at the Fire Hall on Monday, March 30th at 6pm to stuff the bags with candy.
We did not decide what time to meet on the day of the event, but I’m guessing around 9am.
Village Youth Street Hockey Tournament
The event will take place on Saturday, May 30th from 10:00am to 3:00pm with final registration and check-in from 9am-10am. Vic brought his manuscript, I mean matrix, I mean outlinefor planning this event. I think he called it a “Draft Task Completion Schedule”. I like matrix better. But, all kidding aside, it is very helpful. Here’s a few things worth repeating:
We’re still waiting to hear whether Kaleida Health will sponsor this event.
Amherst Yes will be able to send volunteers. We will ask for about ten.
We need whistles.
A lunch of pizza and apples will be served for participants only. Sorrentino’s has agreed to donate 3 sheet pizzas.
A TwinCity ambulance will be there.
Morey confirmed that he can get at least a couple Sabres Alumni to attend.
Jeff called to say the registration forms Vic had written up have been approved.
Jim will call Bill Dannebrock to see if he is available to bring a sound system.
The Village DPW can get hay bales to use for dividers between the games.
Morey offered to be the “for more information” guy and to collect the registration forms as they come in. Thank you, Morey. That is a huge help.
And thank you to Vic, for all the work and time you’ve put in to this already.
Movies In The Park 2009
Jim announced that The Jolly Boys have come through again with sponsorship money for Movies In The Park ($2,200.00). Tiff will write a thank you letter to them. Amy is working with the Amherst Youth Consortium to take over the concession stand duties.
The Village Easter Egg Hunt is Sunday, April 5th at 11:00am!
Please be atIslandPark at 9:00am.
The next meeting is Monday, April 20th at 6:30pm.
