United Way of Southern Kentucky‘s “Feed the Need” Food Drive
Allen County
Today – March 17th
United Way of Southern Kentucky’s Regional “Feed the Need” Food Drive will be held in Allen, Barren, Butler, Hart, Logan, Simpson, and Warren counties starting today and ending March 17th. “Feed the Need” was created in 2009 in response to the increased need in our communities for access to basic needs including food. After speaking with the local food pantries that benefited from the drives in previous years, it is clear that assistance in providing a Safety Net of services like access to food is needed once again this year. Therefore, companies and organizations in these counties will have the opportunity once again to help fill the shelves of local food banks by holding internal food drives. In 2016, more than 80 companies participated in the drives.
We would like to ask that your company or organization partner with United Way by conducting a food drive within your company during the dates of the drive. We will provide you with promotional materials that you can customize to use to advertise your drive within your company. All we ask is that you designate a collection location within your company, promote the drive, and deliver your collected items to Community Action of Allen County (25 J.L Turner & Son Place, Scottsville, KY 42164) Friday, March 17th between 8am – 4pm.All donations will benefit food banks in the county in which the donations are collected.
