Field Marshal Duties
General Duties:
· Keep games running on-time! If games are running behind tell the referee to shorten the game to get games back on schedule.
· Have fun, walk around the fields
· Be seen—if you have an Orange or Neon Green Vest…look the part!!!
· Assist in keeping the parents Positive when need be
· Report un-acceptable behavior to your Field contact first!
Field Duties:
· Morningà
o Make sure goals are set-up on time & properly
o Knack box & goal locks are securely locked after goal set-up
· Afternoon-last gameà
o Make sure goals & equipment are put away correctly & secured/locked
o Inform coaches to tell team to pick-up trash, even if it is not theirs
Check-in player by:
· Verifying roster & medical forms with the game card
· Check players to ensure
o No jewelry or piercing of any kind. Includes soft bracelets. EXCEPTION: Medical alerts
o Shin guards are being worn
o Soccer cleats do not have a toe cleat (not acceptable cleat are baseball, football type
· Make sure the coach completes the game card completely & list players numerically
· Remind coaches to instruct players & parents to pick-up trash
Collect games cards:
· Verify that both coach’s & referees signed the game cards
· Put game cards in plastic bag…paper clip each games cards together

What to bring to the Fields:
· Easy Up – Centrally located so parents and players can easily find you
· Table – A folding table of some kind so you can keep the binder, and ref schedule out for those to view
· Chairs – Something comfortable to sit in while you’re enjoying the beautiful game!
· Cooler – Provide water and or Gatorade for the Referees
· Snacks – Provide fruit (bananas) and granola bars for the Referees
· Lunch – Provide sandwiches for the Referee’s. Standard is 3 lunches per field, for those Refereeing games between 11am and 1pm.
