The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig

Cast: three wolves, 1 pig, and one other character (Mother wolf and builder)

We would like to present Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig based on a story by Eugene Trivizas

MW:My children, it is time for you to go out into the world. Go and build a house for yourselves but beware of the big bad pig.

W3:Don’t worry, Mother. We’ll be careful.

(Builder wearing coveralls that say Home Maintenance & Repair arrives, pushing wheelbarrow of bricks)

W1:Please, will you give us some of your bricks?

B:Of course

W2:Come with us and we’ll show you where to deliver them.

(finished house arrives, carried by wolves who peek through the windows)

P:Little wolves, little wolves, let me come in!

W1:No, no, no!

W2:Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins, we will not let you in

W3:Not for all the tea leaves in our china teapot!

P:Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!

(he huffs and puffs but the house doesn’t fall down)

P:I am not called big and bad for nothing. (grabs sledgehammer and hits the house. The house falls down and the wolves run off stage)

(B arrives and takes house off stage)

P:I sure showed them!!! (goes off stage)

(wolves come back on stage)

W3:We’ll have to build a stronger house.

(B comes on stage with wheelbarrow of boulders)

W1:Please, sir, may we have some of your stones?

B:Certainly.

W2:Come with us and we’ll show you where to deliver them.

(finished house arrives, carried by wolves who peek through the windows)

P:Little wolves, little wolves, let me come in!

W1:No, no, no!

W2:Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins, we will not let you in

W3:Not for all the tea leaves in our china teapot!

P:Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!

(he huffs and puffs but the house doesn’t fall down)

P:I am not called big and bad for nothing. (brings box labeled dynamite.

House breaks in two and the wolves run away.

P:Now where did those pesky little wolves get to? (goes off stage)

B:Builders remove broken house pieces.

W3:We’re going to have to think of something completely different. But what?

(builder arrives with flowers in his wheelbarrow)

W1:Where are you going with those flowers?

B:I’ve got a delivery to make for Little Red Riding Hood. She wants to take some to her grandma.

W3:Could we please have a few?

B:Sure. I’ve got more than enough.

W2:Come and we’ll show you where to put them.

(wolves come back in carrying the flower house)

P:Little wolves, little wolves, let me come in!

W1:No, no, no!

W2:Not by the hair on our chinny-chin-chins, we will not let you in

W3:Not for all the tea leaves in our china teapot!

P:Then I’ll huff and I’ll puff and I’ll blow your house down!

(sniffs deeply) Oh my! What’s that smell? It smells Be – u – tiful!

It makes me feel so good! (starts to dance)

Oh, little wolves, I promise to be a big good pig from now on. Come and dance with me!

(As the wolves come out of the house to dance and take a bow, two builders

come to take the house

B “These flowers have done their job here – let’s take them over to the three bears house and see if they can help calm things down over there.

Ws & P: There is always a peaceful way to solve a problem. You just have to think creatively!
