- The students will discuss why we use the expression “Pandora’s box” figuratively today using evidence from the story.
- The students will read various articles from Newsela that represent “Pandora’s box” in the present.
- The students will write about a present day “Pandora’s box.”
Reading Response: Based on the article you read, write an essay about a current day “Pandora’s box.” What relates the current day event to the myth? Use text evidence from the myth and the article to justify your answer.
