SNOWPAGE, SENSATIONAL CELEBRATIONS AND THE SPIRIT OF GIVING -
THE HOLIDAY SEASON, PENINSULA-STYLE
From The Peninsula Chicago’s skating rink to a Christmas market in Shanghai and more, this holiday season The Peninsula Hotels around the world celebrate Winter Moments with a collection of festive offerings, together with the newest embodiment of The Peninsula brand – SnowPage.
Taking as its inspiration the iconic Peninsula pageboy but with a light-hearted seasonal twist, SnowPage was created specially for the 2013 holiday season. Launching on 29 November 2013, a charming video, filmed at The Peninsula New York, goes behind the scenes of the hotel - from the kitchen to the spa to the florist and more - to createthe magical SnowPage, while acollection of gifts and edible treats enables guests to take a touch of SnowPagecharm home with them.
An e-card will also be available on the Peninsula website from 29 November onwards, enabling visitors to customise their own SnowPage and send it to friends and family.

THE HOLIDAY SEASON, PENINSULA-STYLE – 2
The Peninsula Hotels’ annual Trees of Hope fundraising campaign also featuresSnowPage as its theme. Now in its 10th year across all hotels, the campaign has raised almost US$670,000 since 2003 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®’s local branches in each Peninsula destination to promote happiness and a brief respite for children with life-threatening illnesses by granting them their most heartfelt wishes.
This anniversary year sees a new approach, with a specially created glass ornament inspired by SnowPage for guests making a donation to take home, and supporting “HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES”, our initiative to raise funds to support the victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan. Proceeds from “HOPE FOR THE PHILIPPINES” will be donated to Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation Inc. – a charity partner of The Peninsula Manila - to rebuild homes and communities in the affected area of Eastern Visayas.
The Peninsula Hotels continues the holiday theme with dedicated “Trees of Hope Cocktails” and Philippine-themed “Teas of Hope” – a festive version of the celebrated Afternoon Tea served at each Peninsula Hotel – with Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation Inc.receiving a donation for each cocktail and Afternoon Tea set sold.
Holiday feasts, dining and dancing, together with hampers and gift certificates for hotel stays, spa treatments and gourmet deals to make holiday shopping as easy as possible are on offer in each hotel, while special winter-themed spa treatments soothe dry, chapped skin.
Additional Peninsula holiday highlights include the skating rink on the terrace of The Peninsula Chicago, raising funds fortwo Chicago children’s charities, aEuropean-themed Christmas market in Shanghai (also with its own skating rink), the holiday supper club in Beverly Hills with the renowned Antonio Castillo de la Gala at the piano, and Manila’s premier social event, The Peninsula Christmas Concert, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and is the holiday musical/social event signalling the official start of Christmas in the city.
