SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND A BRIGHTER FUTURE FOR CHILDREN: The Deacons, along with The Star of Hope Ministries,are again sponsoring the Backpack Program. Many children in our communities start school each fall without the tools required to enable them to learn. By purchasing a backpack, you are helping to supply their need. Visit sohm.org to purchase a backpack and supplies or place a check in the offering plate marked “Backpack”. Stop by the table in the Narthex for more information and to see the display. The deadline to order is August 5th.

LADIES SUMMER BIBLE STUDY: Our nextmeeting on the Book of James is next weekTuesday, July 24th at 1:30PM. Lisa Tanis will lead us as we study the book of James, Lesson # 4: James 3: 1-18, "Taming the Tongue." Study guides are available from Joan, or take one from mailbox #183. PRAYER WALK INFO: Next Saturday,July 21st, we will meet at 9:30 AM in the church library and go out in groups of 3 or 4. We will be handing out prayer cards and praying for our neighbors and community as we continue to cover Midland Park with prayer for God’s love, care, and protection. Experience is not required to be a prayer walker and we are teaming up first-timers with seasoned walkers. Pray that we have good weather and great participation from adults and children alike.

Sussex Christian Reformed Church will be having a Service of Dedication for their newly expanded church building on Sunday, July 22 at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to join them as they ask for God’s blessing on their church. Refreshments will be served after the service.
