This year, during the lighting of our Advent candles each week, the grandfathers and their grandsons in our congregation will be leading us in worship. The choir will sing as we gather at the Advent wreath, and after the candle is lit, the congregation is asked to join in singing the chorus,

“Arise and Shine.”

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Church Council will meet next Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. Newly elected council members are encouraged to attend. 2018 officers will be elected.

The signup sheet for altar flowers for 2018 is in the Narthex.

The children’s Christmas program will be on December 17th at 6:00 p.m. A covered dish supper will follow the program.

Christmas Eve Holy Communion Service will begin at 7:00 p.m.

LMM Ladies Night/WELCA Christmas Party will be held on December 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the home of George and Jan Piersol.

Christmas Caroling: We will be caroling to our shut ins and seniors on Wednesday, December 20th, beginning at 5:00 p.m. and would love for you to join us. If you cannot be there as early as five, you can join us along the way. Our goal is to have at least two groups as that we can cover more ground. We especially encourage our children and youth to go because our shut ins truly enjoy seeing them every year. Please let Mary Ann know as soon as possible if you plan to go with us, and everyone is encouraged to come back to the church for supper.
