13 June 2016

Dear Parents

The purpose of this letter is to avoid confusion as to the programme that will be followed next week.

Next week (20 to 24 June) will be a normal school week, with the following changes:

  1. Rugby and netball matches will be played against Middelburg on 20 June. These matches were postponed to assist the learners to focus on their academics and the examination. The teams will leave from the school at 09:00. All learners WHO do not take part, will be allowed to stay at home. Teachers WHO are not involved, will be at school, doing marking and administration.
  1. There will be normal school days from Tuesday, 21 June. School will start at 07:30 and end at 13:30. There will be examination paper discussion and problems areas will be addressed and explained again.
  1. As soon as everything mentioned in point 2 has been completed, the teachers will continue with the syllabus. No free periods or wasted time will be allowed in any classes.
  1. Gr 12 learners will continue their Mathematics syllabus in the afternoons from 13:30 to 14:30. Time is running out, without sufficient time left in certain subjects to complete the syllabus. After the holiday, the Gr 12 learners will have to continue attending these afternoon classes in certain subjects. We would like to ask your assistance in this matter, as the school would likethe learners to have excellent results at the end of the year.
  1. We would like to request you, not to leave on an early holiday next week, because in such cases learners who are absent will be responsible to catch up on all work missed.
  1. The school will close on 24 June at 10:00. There will be assembly on that day, after which learners will receive their reports.
  1. School re-opens at 08:00 on 18 June 2016.
  1. A parent evening is scheduled for 26 July from 16:00 to 20:00.

Thank you for your assistance. We wish you an enjoyable winter holiday. Please take note that the term newsletter (with important dates) will be handed to your child, together with the report.

Yours faithfully

Geagte Ouers

  1. Vanaf Dinsdag 21 Junie is dit skool soos normaal.

Vriendelike groete.
