Survey Project

The purpose of this assignment is to survey potential voters and to find out how they feel about controversial government related issues. Students will design survey questions, administer a survey, collect data, graph data, analyze data, summarize the data, and present the results professionally in your power point at your national convention.

Part I – Creating the Survey

Your team must create ten survey statements based on your political party platform belief statements. The possible responses are: disagree strongly, disagree, agree, or agree strongly.

Part II – Administering the Survey

Your group must survey at least 50 people. Each person surveyed must sign, date, and contact info (phone, email, address, classroom)

Part III – Collecting Information

When the surveys are completed, the data must be collected and totaled. Create a neat table illustrating the totals for each question.

Part IV – Graphing the Information

Every survey question needs to be graphed.

Part V – Analyzing the Data

Each survey question must be analyzed with a short paragraph that describes the data.

Part VI – Presenting the Survey

Your group will present the results of the survey in a folder that contains the collected data tables, the graphs, and the analysis. In a separate envelope, you should turn in your survey results. Your report should have a title page with the names of the authors.
