o  COFAX

Our COFAX team is gearing up for the fourth annual Colorado Facility Awards of Excellence event. And this event promises to continue in the fine tradition already firmly established in honoring the accomplishments of facility professionals throughout the region.

o  Meet and Greet

Training Opportunities Galore

o  We have a great slate of educational programs for our upcoming luncheons. Be sure to take advantage of these opportunities.

World Work Place

o  WWP will be held this year in Philadelphia, PA. If you have never attended, you should give serious consideration to attending IFMA’s flagship event. You will be glad you did.

Career Transition Group

o  Our Chapter continues to offer assistance, support, training, advice, and postings for those who may be in transition or considering a transition.

Leadership Opportunities

o  Want to hone your leadership skills, contribute to the success of the Chapter, and get to know your fellow Chapter members better? Consider becoming a part of one of our many teams. Whatever your skill set -- you can make a significant contribution.

As you can see, there are many great opportunities for professional as well as personal growth and enjoyment. Do yourself a favor and get involved today!

What the Members have to say …

"This place is driving me crazy, let's take a break and go to the IFMA luncheon." At times that was the only reason that I felt like going to the IFMA luncheon but once there the friendly atmosphere and smiling faces quickly put all worries behind. Then the networking, camaraderie and education began. In the last 10 years I have met many people at IFMA who have been a great source of information and education for my growth as a Facilities Manager. No matter what kind of situation I found myself in at work, someone in IFMA had been there and done that and knew how to resolve it.

Thank you Pikes Peak IFMA for providing a monthly get-a-away and for a chance to rejuvenate and educate myself so I may be all that I can be at Young Life. – Roger Nachtigal

Congratulations to Roger Nachtigal for 10 years service with IFMA!!!

As I celebrate my 9th year as a member of IFMA, it seems that there have been three distinct periods of my membership. Each one was good, but the next got better.

When I first joined IFMA in Northern Florida, there was no local chapter. I was an at-large member, receiving all the mailings and little else.

After moving to Colorado Springs, I got my first taste of chapter membership with the enhanced networking and educational opportunities that brought.

Then came the best time; I got involved in the chapter by serving on the board and

as an officer. If you have not yet taken advantage of that opportunity, you do not know what you’re missing. Don’t delay getting more benefit out of your membership that you ever have before.

Get involved today. - Tom Stolting

Where's my free lunch?
Companies are finding unique ways to reward employees from discounts, to free lunches, unlimited air travel and two cases of beer, it’s all about the perks. General Motors’ recent “Employee Discount for Everyone” program is bringing the concept of employee benefits to the public view. A July 5, CNN/Money article reports that Starbucks gives employees a free pound of coffee a week, Anheuser-Busch gives adult employees two free cases of beer a month, Google provides employees with a free lunch every day and Blockbuster rents videos and games to employees at no cost.
