Target Audience: Physicians, Dentist, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives, and PA’s in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN & small practices of less than 10

Objectives:

Ø  Provide an update on federal initiatives involving Health Information Technology (HIT)

Ø  Describe what clinicianswill need to accomplish in order to apply for stimulus funding

Ø  Review the role of the Regional Extension Center in assisting clinicians’ move to meaningful use of HIT

Ø  Discuss Meaningful Use and what it means to the practicing clinician
