Please pray for the repose of the soul of Peter Cooling of Attleborough, who was a long standing parishioner, and who died recently. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Josephine and all family members and friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced when available.

NEWS AND EVENTS
CONFIRMATION & FIRST HOLY COMMUNION PROGRAMMES Congratulations to all who received the Sacrament of Confirmation and those who are receiving their 1st Holy Communion this Sunday. We look forward to them helping in the celebration of the Liturgy such as serving and reading, singing and playing at Mass as well as helping in our parish in other ways along their parents. Thank you so much to all who helped prepare them for the sacraments and to those who helped with Masses and receptions afterwards.

NEWMAN LECTURES PROGRAMME – SPRING 2017 The 2017 Newman Lectures continue at UEA on Monday May 15th at 6.30pm in the Julian Study Centre. The speaker is Dr Caroline Farey of the School of the Annunciation, one of the ‘Catholic Women of the Year’ 2016, who is speaking on Sacred Art and Culture. The lectures are free to attend, and parking at UEA is also free.
PARISH COUNCIL MEETING will take place at 7:30pm on Wednesday 24th May in the Parish Meeting Room.
WYMONDHAM MUSIC FESTIVAL COMMITTEE will take place at 7:30pm on Thursday 26th May in the Parish Meeting Room.
PARISH PRAYER GROUP MEETINGS will take place in the parish meeting room on Friday 2nd June, Friday 16th June, Friday 30th June, Friday 14th July, and Friday 28th July, commencing at 7:30pm. All members of the Parish are very welcome.
INVITE TO ALTER SERVERS Our Bishop invites all Altar Servers to the Annual 12 noon Altar Servers Mass at our Cathedral followed by BBQ. Please bring your altar serving Alb, best to take it after Sunday Mass. If you wish to go please email Your Parish, Your Name and Number in your party directly to the Bishop’s Personal Assistant Elaine Bugge: so number are known for Mass and BBQ
KSC ENGLISH WRITING COMPETITIONS FOR CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS there are two competitions open to young people age 12 to 18 years in secondary education, members of school, parish, church, youth and other groups or individuals, a National Essay competition and a National Prayer competition. You may enter one or both competitions and there are prizes for the winning entries. To create fairness, both competitions have two separate age groups for judging, i.e: 1) School Year Groups: 7, 8 and 9, (say 12 to 14 years of age). 2) School Year Groups: 10, 11, 12 1nd 13, (say 15 to 18 years old). We encourage any parishioners that are interested to enter. Full details of both competitions are on the notice board. We would also like a parishioner to volunteer as the Local Contact to help coordinate our parish entries.
