The Parent-Teacher Partnership

‘A positive parent-teacher relationship helps your child feel good about school and be successful’ – advises Diane Levin, PhD- professor of education at Wheelock College
On Saturday (24 March), the parents are meeting the teachers to discuss the academic progress made by the children. We are using such meetings to discuss the report and come up with various strategies to support a child. Parents can collect the reports from the class teacher,
Between - 8:00am to 10:30am
Parents Who Care School Tour (24 March) : I would like to invite all the parents who want to be involved in supporting the school to join me on a small tour around the school, looking at various parts of the school and see where one can help. I will do the tour from 10:00am till 10:35am.
Raffle

Welcome!
We would like to welcome Ms. Gadifele Moeng as the new school secretary and looking forward to working with her. We would also like to thank Ms. Nthabiseng Shilote who ran the front office from January to date. Ms. Shilote is one of our student-teachers but we must commend her for the amazing job she did in the front office and she will be going back to teaching in the next few days. Thank you, Ms. Shilote.

  • 28 March 2018 – Last Day of Term1- Fundraiser (Big Walk/Fitness Day): school closes at 11:00am. No aftercare!

Fitness Day

On the 28th of March (last day of term 1), we’re going to have a Grade 5/6 fundraiser, selling boerewors roll and sweets. As a school, we have always had a big walk on this day but this year, we’re going to be based in the school premises, have the obstacle course and other fitness related activities to promote healthy lifestyle.

Music – lessons (one-on-one)

Guitar Keyboard Drums
I would like to remind you that we’re offering one-on-one music lessons. These lessons are run by an outside musician, Mr. Sam Tshabalala but he is using one of our classrooms to conduct his lessons( in the afternoons)
NB: there’s a separate fee for the private lessons and that’s payable directly to Mr. Sam Tshabalala. If you’re interested in getting your child enrolled in these lessons, please contact Mr. Sam Tshabalala – 0739530542.
