  1. Present a clear, concise summary of your assigned book. Have a typed summary to turn in when you present.
  1. Illustration should capture the essence of the book. You do not need to be Picasso!
  1. Audience must be attentive during presentations.

Your summary shows understanding and insight of both the literal and the figurative (think allegory!). / Audience seems engaged, shows clear understanding of the content. It borders more on superficial than insightful, however. / This summarizes most of the book, but it is very literal. It could be more engaging. / The main idea of the book is presented, but many details are omitted. Lacks insight and audienceinterest. / Summary shows littleunderstanding of the assignment. Clear audience interest. / We could follow you, but there too much reading of the written summary, which indicated to me you do not have mastery over this material. Only some members did the talking. / Reading your written summary is not presenting. I am not seeing a team effort here. Watch the “likes” and “ums.” / Between all the “likes” and “ums” and the soft voice, I could hardly follow your presentation. I know I am partially deaf, nut come on people!
