The nineteen-year-old singer Victoria Lott, known in the music industry as ‘Pixie Lott’, grew up in Bromley, Kent, and, at a young age, discovered she had a talent for the arts. She was thirteen years old when she and her family moved to the town of Brentwood in Essex, where she is now a local celebrity as well as a national superstar. Pixie joined Brentwood County High School as she discovered her interests in performing.

Having come from a perfectly ordinary background, her first step to fame was being awarded a scholarship to the well-renowned ‘Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts’ at just eleven years old. The ‘Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts’ is a training school for the exceptionally talented, and has educated famous people such as Russell Brand, Naomi Campbell and Louise Redknapp. During her time as a student, she appeared in West End musicals including ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ and also featured in the ensemble of Roger Water’s opera, ‘Ca Ira’.

She was given the chance of a lifetime when she answered an advert in a magazine asking for talented youngsters. This eventually resulted in her going to New York where she started to write songs and record some demos.

For Miss Lott, the last twelve months have been absolutely

incredible and she’s barely had time to let her feet touch the ground. Her first two singles, ‘Mama Do’ and ‘Boys and Girls’, have both reached number one in the UK singles charts and her debut album, ‘Turn it up’ – which was released in September ’09 – has managed to reach number six in the UK album charts! And, if this wasn’t enough, the teenage superstar has won various other awards, including best newcomer, which she won at the Virgin Media Awards earlier this year.

And yet, after all this phenomenal success, Lott does not have any idea of stopping now and has revealed that she plans to design two exclusive ranges for the fashion label ‘Lipsy’. She is also the face of Nokia’s ‘Illuvial Pink Collection’. Her career is not only limited to singing, she is also starring in the film Fred: The Movie, which is going to be released in Summer 2010. Pixie has appeared in numerous television programmes and films.

As for her music, Lott will be the supporting act on Rihanna’s tour ‘Rated R’. She will also feature in the V Festival in August 2010.

So, can Miss Victoria Lott be stopped? Only time will tell; but for now at least, this young starlet is here to stay!
