B Objectives

1. What is the main purpose for this course?
The students will be able to:
Analysis and design of basic communication systems, including both analog and digital systems. Get strong and deep understanding for transmission media, guided and unguided media, radio wave and microwave and millimeter ware radio relay systems, Wireless technology, frequency reuse in cellular phone, GSM, WCDMA. The basic concepts of satellite systems for fixed and mobile communications (GEO, MEO, LEO); VSATs systems.
2. Briefly describe any plans for developing and improving the course that are being implemented. (e.g. increased use of IT or web based reference material, changes in content as a result of new research in the field)
-  Lecture notes are reviewed and revised
-  Video lectures related to the course contents have been arranged for using in the coming semester
-  The schedule has been adjusted to provide more time for methods of digital communication topic
-  Problems are continuously upgraded to reflect current practice and to develop better understanding of the concepts
